Are americans sheep?
Maybe I’ve got it all wrong. Maybe I’ve been wasting my time and getting so upset with our government for no reason. It is possible that our leaders are right? Is is possible that we (the people) really are just too stupid to make decisions for ourselves?
It’s a tough call.
51% of American voters elected a socialist, with no experience what-so-ever to become the leader of the free world. Why? You you would be hard pressed to find greater examples of pure evil than that of Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid, yet they keep getting elected. Why?
Why is it that more people are concerned with the results of ‘Dancing with the stars’ or ‘American Idol’ then they are with the fact that Terrorists (people who take action to kill YOU and your CHILDREN) are going to be brought to U.S. soil and tried in civilian court, as if they shop-lifted a candy bar?
Current poles show that 54% of Americans actually think that the government SHOULD run our health-care system. OMG!
Here’s my favorite - Obama had the nerve to accuse Bush of spending too much – yet he spends FOUR TIMES as much; tanks our economy; guarantees that our children will become slaves to the state; seizes private businesses; causes massive inflation; undermines our soldiers; tells Israel to go F-off; gives thumbs up to Iran; ignores N. Korea; badmouths the United States at every opportunity and let’s not forget, represented the company that rigged his own election (Acorn). And yet the son-of-a-bitch still manages to have a 61% APPROVAL RATING? Unbelievable.

How about this one? New Orleans. Everyone in New Orleans KNOWS that the damn city is below sea level. They KNOW that it is right in the middle of hurricane alley. What’s more, they KNOW that the levies can only hold back a storm surge for a Cat. 3 hurricane and KNEW that they were about to get hit with a Cat. 4 (Katrina, in case you forgot) 10 days ahead of time and were told to GET OUT. And after all that – they have the F-ing nerve to act surprised when their homes get destroyed, and then blame President Bush for not rescuing their sorry ass fast enough? How F-ing stupid can people actually get?
Perhaps I have been wrong. Perhaps the people of this country ARE sheep. Perhaps we really do need someone to lead our lives for us because we are too stupid to do it ourselves.
Agreed people are STOOOOO-PUD. This has been a very painful realization, the more I talk to people in public the more I want to stay in my house and never come out! People keep telling ME how, “…they do it in other countries…” I just had someone, two days ago, (who does not own a passort, by the way) explain to me how Medicine works in Europe. I said, “Really??? That is completely false…not sure how you acquired this information.” I told this man that taxes in countries who deliver Government run health care are around 60%+ and over AND that if they deem your condition “too serious”, “too expensive to treat” or “you are simply too old” they will cut off or deny care.” He said, “How can they do that?” I explained, “BECAUSE it is not only medicine but THE government, as well.”
And the REALLY funny part is the people who keep telling me this have never been past Oklahoma to the North and the Mexico Border to the south, yet, they are pretty sure they know how it is done in other countries…never mind my family is Dutch… what the hell do I know?? So tired of people thinking the Government “makes” money. I keep telling people the ONLY way the government gets money is through taxes. Grrrrrrr
Ohhh and the levy…more people who were sure they knew how to do it better…They like the Dutch idea of medicine but when they really could have put something to good use, the people in New Orleans turned their backs. A large part of NL is below Sea level, as well. The Dutch warned them and offered their help to New Orleans several years before the levy broke-they were not interested. It was only AFTER disaster that they were interested in hearing what The Dutch had to say. They thought they knew better or simply did not care.
