Democrats Against the Ropes

According to Fox News,  Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said the so-called public option — a government-run health care plan that would be just one component of a broader health care overhaul — is “not the essential element”, but now Obama says she misspoke.

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs almost has a mental breakdown when pressed by Major Garrett from Fox News over the email fiasco and Megyn Kelly almost makes White House Deputy Spokesperson Bill Burton cry.

Obama has asked Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) & Sen. Kent Conrad (D-N.D.) to shut up and “stop helping” because every time they speak, support for the healthcare bill drops like a rock. Conrad may join a growing number of Democrats who are preparing to jump ship. Unwilling to become tied to a presidency that they feel will put an end to their careers.

The Democrats are against the ropes.

Obama is losing what little control he had and the Democrats are fighting amongst themselves. Like cockroaches that scurry when the light gets turned on, the Democrats are running for cover. They are beginning to see that what happens when a man who has never even run a “Lemonade stand” becomes their commander in idiocy.

Still, we should not be lured into any since of security. Make no mistake, Obama and the Democrats NEED a victory. If they have any hope of staying in power at the end of the next 2010 elections, they cannot allow this fight to end without a victory (or something that they can CLAIM is a victory). And we must never forget that Obama, Reid & Pelosi are some sneaky S.O.B’s. Come hell or high water, by the end of the year – they WILL pass a healthcare bill. They have already shown their cards – they will claim that it is “what the people want” and that all those protesters were just, “a small minority of radicals, not representative of the country as a whole”.  They will do it with only a small majority. Allowing some Democrats to save face and have a shot at re-election next year.

Nevertheless, by keeping them rattled, we weaken them. We must continue to fight by choosing the place of battle and not letting them chose the battle field. If they won’t hold a town hall meeting then we protest outside their homes. If they won’t take our calls then we will stand outside their office.

Our next step is to remind those who still support the Obama plan, that Obama won’t ALWAYS be the president. Remind your Liberal Freak Friends that someday, a nasty Republican will be in that office. As well, a rich republican congress may one day be in charge of the health care system – Would you still support it then? Each of us must ask ourselves, am I really in favor of this plan? Or is it just that I support this President? Because if it is the latter, consider the consequences of what happens when someone you don’t support is in charge.
