I agree with the comments on Senator Cornyn. At least two idiots with virtually the same thoughts on immigration are now gone, Senator Trent Lott and George Allen, both former cosponsors of Cornyn’s bill to increase H1B Visas. They’re keeping their mouths shut now with our economic problems but we’re still bringing in a million immigrants per year. Seems they can never reverse themselves after a bill is passed.

I’m an engineer who has three engineering degrees and I gave up and retired at age 49 due to my inability to find a job at what I consider a good salary in 2003. I had gone back to school, earned a Master’s, had a very high gpa, and a GRE score higher than all engineers but perhaps 0.5%, and couldn’t find a good job after 150+ resumes.

I pointed all this out to several senators’ staff including John Cornyn, Trent Lott, Kay Bailey Hutchinson (another H1B Visa supporter). The most dishonest reply came from Senator Lott who wrote “We agree with you and are against bringing in foreign workers unless absolutely necessary” while failing to tell me at the same time he was cosponsor of Cornyn’s bill. I found only a couple of senator’s staff that would do anything but walk the top of a fence.

I suppose its time for a national party that supports what’s best for America and Americans.

Lou Dobbs is under attack by the companies you listed. They un-employ their fellow countrymen and women to bring in cheap, foreign labor and they call Lou Dobbs “Un American” for speaking out against it! LOL. Holy exploding Irony Meters! Hewlett packard recently said that, “Americans do not have a God give right to out jobs.” We do not have a “right” to their jobs? Hmmm but they feel we have a right to buy their products? Hmmmm, how does that work?? (Scratching head)

Also, Texas Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) is one of the WORST. He not only supports expaning the H-1b, L1 and H-1c for white collar workers and nurses here on NON Immigrant Visas but also support giving amnesty to Blue collar ILLEGAL workers. Before every interview he screens the question and will not allow any questions on this topic. Big business tells him what they “need”. All the while he tells the public that he is in Washington fighting hard for the working man and woman…too bad those workign men and women are NOT from Texas! I am sure the residents of India appreciate it very much, Senator Cornyn! I had a friedn who met Senator Cornyn and he told my friend, “Well there is a shiortage of workers.” My friend told him, “How can this be, if there was a shortage of workers, wages would be INCREASING. The whole point of these programs is to increase supply and drive wages down.” He looked like he had been hit over the head with a frying pan. These means that there is a shortage at a certain price point. There is a shortage of nurses AT $35,000/yr. There is a shortage of Architects AT $40,000/yr. How will we sustain our tax base?
