Do Americans Deserve Freedom?
The real Axis of Evil
Like most Americans (not in Washington) I have had to cope with many unfortunate & challenging situations in the last year and a half. I have laid my father to rest as well as my mentor, who was also much like a father to me. I have watched as my 23 year career, as well as my entire industry, be destroyed by the economic crisis gripping the nation. I have had to accept that two of my dogs (who are like children to me) probably will not live through the end of the year. And I have watched my friends struggle just to survive and have been helpless to do little more than provide a shoulder to cry on.
And yet throughout all these troubles, nothing has made me sicker to my stomach than to watch the President of the United States give accolades to Barney Frank and Chris Dodd, and to witness the standing ovation for these men which followed. Do I even have to explain why this is so appalling? I don’t think so.
I wish that I were a better writer. I wish that I could find the words to express just how disgusted I am with this President and the Axis of Evil which is the Democrat Party in Congress. I want so desperately to be able to grab “America” and shake the shit out of you, screaming “Wake UP! Don’t you get it? Don’t you see what is happening? Can’t you see that these people are ACTUALLY TRYING to destroy this nation?”
Please, Please, Please – I beg you. Help us put an end to this madness. These people; Reid, Pelosi, Frank, Dodd, Obama and every single one of them standing on that stage today – really are traitors to the United States of America. They really don’t care about you. They don’t care about your children. They don’t care about this nation. They have no intention of listening to you. They never have, and they never will. They truly believe themselves to be superior and justify (even in their own mind) their quest for power as doing it, “for the small people”. They seek only one thing, to RULE. To control every aspect of your life because you are too stupid to know what is good for you … and to get rich in the process, of course.
Do you really understand what is at stake? Do you? Can you take a break from your gawking at Lindsay Lohan long enough to save your nation from destruction? Can you stop worrying about the latest fucking i-phone for just a minute and give a thought to how your children will survive with a $14 Trillion Dollar debt? Are you even slightly irked about the fact that you are now a slave of the government, and that if you refuse to BUY the insurance that they tell you to buy, they will seize your property and put you in jail for TAX EVASION?
I am seriously beginning to wonder if maybe the Democrats are right. Maybe (most of) the people of this nation don’t deserve to be free. Maybe you really are that damn ignorant and must be “cared for” by our government. Maybe I’m the one who has been wrong all this time. Perhaps the Democrats are really NOT evil. Is it possible that they just learned (before I did) that the people of this nation are just too stupid to actually govern themselves? Maybe they are right and we have been wrong.
Why are people like me even bothering to stand up for freedom? Does it even matter anymore? Maybe we should just forget about it and let the nation sink into the abyss. Then maybe those who survive will finally appreciate what it is to be free.
Then again, maybe they are too stupid to know what they lost.
